Daman Ganga Tourist Complex

Located in the village of Kanchigam in Nani Daman, this wonderful complex boasts of a number of beautiful tourist attractions, making it one of the most sought after tourist spot in Daman. Its speciality is the pretty lake within the complex, where you can engage in boating. You can also get your pictures clicked while boating. There is a beautiful garden with lush green lawns, exotic spouting fountains and narrow walkways, attracting people of all ages. It has a cafeteria serving a range of snacks and drinks. A plethora of other facilities include tiny cottages, conference halls for corporate meetings etc, health club, amphitheatre, water sports etc. The giant water falls provide a visual treat to the visitors. Daman Ganga Tourist Complex

The garden is open from 7 am to 6 pm on weekdays. For adults, the entry fee is Rs 10, while for children between 3 to 5 years of age, it is Rs 5. The parking charge for heavy vehicles is Rs 60, Rs 25 for light vehicles and Rs 10 for scooter. It is located at a distance of about 8 kilometres from Nani Daman Taxi Stand and about 5 kilometres from Vapi Railway Station. Auto rickshaws as well as taxis can be availed to reach the Tourist Complex.

Jetty Garden in Daman

It is a picturesque garden located on the banks of river Daman Ganga and is near the Moti Daman Jetty. It is known for its beautiful ambience and exotic arrangements comprising of the fountains, lush green lawns, river facing seating, statues and many more. A special and most admired feature of this garden is the marvellous statue of a beautiful mermaid seated atop a green rock. A variety of fun rides are available for children of all ages, keeping them engaged for hours together. Its well-crafted pathways and lush green lawns make an ideal spot for taking long, leisurely strolls, amidst the scenic beauty.

Jetty Garden in Daman

In the centre of the garden, there is a picnic spot, where you can enjoy with your family and friends. There are many stalls near the garden, selling a variety of lip smacking snacks. A must try is the delicious jetty rolls, along with the milk shakes. This garden thus has something to offer to people of all ages, thereby attracting huge crowds.

This garden is located at a distance of about 2 kilometres from the Nani Daman Taxi Stand. Auto Rickshaws can be availed from the taxi stand to the Nani Daman Jetty. Otherwise, you can reach the garden by boat from the Nani Daman Jetty, that takes about two minutes.

Satya Sagar Udyan

Located close to the Coast Guard Air Station on the Daman-Valsad road, the beautiful Satya Sagar Udyan is a lake garden that serves as a popular picnic spot. It boasts of a beautiful water body surrounded by lush green plants on all sides. The pretty fountains and narrow lanes adorned with colourful flowers and shrubs provide a visual treat to the tourists. You can relax, sitting by the lake, or taking a stroll in the garden, and simply enjoy doing nothing. There is a restaurant and a snack bar, offering appetising snacks and regional dishes. The sublime solitude along with its natural beauty attracts tourists from far and wide. It is an ideal spot for clicking photographs, against the beautiful backdrops of lakes, flowers and promenades. There is a Satya Narayan Temple, in its vicinity, dedicated to Lord Satya Narayan, the embodiment of truth, where devotees throng to seek divine interventions. It is located at about 3 kilometres from the Nani Daman Taxi Stand and can be reached easily via auto rickshaws or private vehicles.

Kadaiya Lake Garden

Also known as Mirasol Lake Garden, it is one of the most famous picnic spots in Daman located near Kadaiya village in Nani Daman. An artificial lake lake has been created here surrounding the two islands connected by a bridge, where you can enjoy boating. Sparkling fountains in the background add to the visitors’ delight. Various other sources of amusement include computer games, toy train, machan on tree tops etc. It also houses the famous Mirasol Water Park, with facilities like go-Carting, jumper-boat and other fun filled and exciting water rides. It also has an eating outlet, serving a variety of Indian as well as international cuisines, where you can satisfy your hunger. Known for its unspoilt beauty and panoramic surroundings, Kadaiya Lake Garden, with its amazing setting, provides an ideal backdrop for clicking perfect photographs. Its beauty has also attracted many renowned filmmakers and is a favourite spot for film shooting. Some major scenes from the Bollywood movie ‘Border’ have been shot here. It thus provides a perfect ambience to shun all your fatigue and rejuvenate and relax yourself.

Mirasol Lake Garden

It is located at about 7 kilometres from Nani Daman Taxi Stand and can be easily reached via auto rickshaws, taxis or private vehicles. The entry fee for the lake garden is Rs 10 per adult and Rs 5 for kids between 3 to 12 years of age. The entry fee for the water park is Rs 200, while you have to pay Rs 50 per boat for about 20-30 minutes. Parking charges include Rs 15 per heavy vehicle, Rs 10 per light vehicle and Rs 5 for scooter or auto rickshaw. Charges are Rs 20 for photography and Rs 50 for videography.
